I tried booting with a Windows 98SE boot disc but it doesnt recognise my SATA DVD drive as it only detects IDE im pretty sure... So maybe you should check the motherboard manufacturer's support site for a DOS driver (not very likely, but worth a try). That forced me to find something else - I discovered TeraByte's free trials and their bootable floppies and cd's all work. sorry about that.
Since moving from an IDE to SATA DVD/CD writer, I cannot access any of them via Acronis's boot, cd or flashcard boot disks. For sata drives you just have to have the drivers on your floppy and F6 them as you would do during a windows install. Am I SOL for Intel or is there a solution?
